Dr. Guleria now runs her own FNAC & Cytopathology clinic in order to establish a broader platform for patients in need.
We listen to, inform and involve all our patients and their treating doctor, to help initiate patient treatment.
We provide accurate FNAC diagnosis and swift 12 hour reporting services, to avoid any delay to the start of your treatment.
We support local hospitals and patients unable to afford the entire cost of the procedure.
When a lump or a bump is discovered in specific areas of the body, a test known as Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) is recommended to determine the nature of the lump. While this procedure is most commonly used to test for surface level lymph nodes, thyroid, salivary glands and breast lumps, an Ultrasound-Guided Fine Needle Aspiration may be requested by your doctor for more deep-seated mass lesions.
This test is minimally invasive and uses a narrow gauge (21-22G) needle to collect fluid / tissue fluid sample for microscopic examination. The popularity of the technique is due to its high diagnostic accuracy. It allows patients to receive prompt results and their Doctors to gain information about the nature of the disease, thereby enabling all parties to take swift and appropriate action.
All unusual, unnatural, newly discovered suspicious lumps are NOT cancerous. FNAC procedures can help avoid needless surgery.
